 We are working to expand this program to accommodate more people, from more communities, both lay and religious, to attend and participate in these joyful gatherings. With this in mind we have scheduled regular opportunities to gather to share our stories and celebrate the gift of serving Christ in the missions. The Benefits of Gathering • For some, newly returned, these opportunities give the chance to begin the long process of integrating their mission experience into their life at home. • For others, who are back many years, these gatherings can keep the spirit of the missions alive in their hearts. • For all, this can help develop the much-needed sense of community that can help us recognize the different gifts of each community and charism to celebrate together the joy of bringing our faith to others. • An opportunity to share information on the work of a particular community! Upcoming Gatherings Invitations will be mailed to men and women's mission Religious Communities and returned lay missionaries within the Archdiocese. Additionally, we extend an invitation to those who are assigned as missionaries to the Arcdiocese of Los Angeles to share their experience.
