Hope House is a program for children in the Los Angeles Archdiocese to raise funds for a very special project that the Holy Childhood Association in Rome presents to us.

During Advent, children use offering boxes to raise funds to help childrenthroughout the world who are in great need of assistance.

The "2003 Challenge"

This year's Advent Adoption Project, HOPE HOUSE, is an orphanage in Kabale, Uganda. Many children in Uganda have lost parents as a result of the AIDS epidemic, and we are so happy that our children in Los Angeles can reach out to help our brothers and sisters in Uganda.

$50,000 Raised in 2002

To date we have received nearly $50,000 to give the children of East Timor a place where their health needs can be administered and they can get much needed food and vitamins. Thank you for all your efforts to help the Hope House project and to connect our children with other children of the world.

$75,000 Raised in 2001

In 2001, our children raised more than $75,000 during Advent for Hope House in El Salvador. This was enough to build 30 houses for families who lost their homes because of three earthquakes that heavily damaged El Salvador since January of 2001.

If you would like your school or religious education program to participate in this project contact your mission moderator or our office.
